3 Easy Tips for Exercising on a Busy Schedule

Making time to exercise is one of the most important things you can do for your body, however, it is one that many people neglect due to their busy schedules. Finding the time to work out can be tricky, especially if you are already struggling to maintain a solid work/life balance. Whether you’re trying to lose weight or are ready to take on a more active lifestyle after bunionectomy recovery, here are a few ways to incorporate exercise into your busy schedule.

1. Walk, Run, or Bike to Work

No matter where you work, it is likely that your morning commute takes up more of your time each day than you realize. If you live within a reasonable distance of your office, opting to commute by foot or bike is a great way to get a good workout in without much thought. Many employees find that commuting by foot or bike is not only a great way to sneak a big workout into your daily routine, but find that it also acts as a natural energizer and mood booster in the morning and is sure to get your day off to a good start.

2. Bring Workout Clothes to Work

Many people say they will go to the gym, go for a run, or exercise in another capacity after work, but do not follow through with this plan. After a long workday, it’s understandable that the very last thing you want to do is complete a workout, but keeping a pair of workout clothes on hand at all times can help. Keeping workout clothes in your bag or car will make the transition from work to the gym feel a bit easier, and will hopefully give you the motivation you need to follow through with your plan to work out.

3. Wake Up Earlier

One reason that many people cite for not working out as often as they feel they should is feeling like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to do everything they need to do, and adding a trip to the gym on top of that feels impossible. If this describes your current situation, you might consider waking up earlier each morning! Whether you use this time to squeeze in a workout before work or complete household chores or errands to free up time in the evenings for a visit to the gym, waking up earlier is one of the best ways to maximize your productivity in all aspects of your life.
